Went in around 6pm and our party of 5 were seated right away. There were a bunch of flies flying around the tables which was gross. Burgers were dry, soda was flat, and the trays used for the food were very small. We had fun checking out the different sodas they had. They have a penny press in the back for those who collect them. Fun place to stop at but would skip on the food.

A great 4-star stop! My wife absolutely loved it, while for me it was good but not amazing, probably because of what I ordered. We stopped for dinner almost by chance and were seated immediately. Following the waitress's advice, I ordered a burger with fried mac and cheese bites, but it didn't really impress me—it felt like something was missing. My wife, however, was delighted with her pulled pork sandwich, which was truly excellent. For dessert, we shared the cookie pot with ice cream; it was delicious but incredibly heavy at the end of the meal! 😆 The service was excellent, and the shop with all the sodas is beautiful. Too bad you can't buy them to drink during dinner!

We decided to drive to Pop's for my birthday. It was about a 30 minute drive, 1 hr round trip. It was a weekend and the place was busy. It took about 10-15 minutes to get seated. The atmosphere is really cool with tons of bottled, flavored sodas everywhere. My daughters ordered The Arcadia and Grilled Onion burgers. I ordered The Centennial Burger (buffalo meat). For anyone wondering how the buffalo tasted, it wasn't gamey tasting at all and tasted just like a regular burger. The portion sizes were small for the prices and the burgers themselves were not that great with minimal sauce which made the burger taste sort of dry, over-toasted buns, and small, over cooked bacon. The fried pickles were probably the best food item we ordered. We got desserts- Pop's Panhandler ($10), Peanut butter shake, and a fried peach pie (to go). The Panhandler came in a cast iron pan that was only about a 2-2 1/2 inch cast iron pan (think really small) and the cookie bottom wasn't even 1/2 inch thick. So didn't fill the pan at all and was hard and crunchy. The peanut butter shake ($6) barely tasted like peanut butter, mostly vanilla with a hint of peanut butter. The fried peach pie ($5) was okay, decent size but more filling than peaches and crust was soft and soggy. Overall, the fried pickles were the best item we got that day. There is tons of merchandise for sale with nostalgic candy and candy of all types and flavors. There were tons of bottled sodas that you can purchase by the single or a 6-pk. Overall, it was a good experience, the waitress was friendly and attentive but just not the iconic experience I was hoping for. I would recommend going to see the place and try the food for yourself. Maybe it was just a busy day. Although, I don't think the portion sizes would meet mosts expectations.

Pops is one my favorite iconic places to visit on Route 66. I am not a big fan of their diner food, I've always thought it was mediocre. Not horrible but just that, diner food. It is fun for the experience. Overall, the whole reason to go to Pops is to see the giant pop bottle. It's cool to see during the day but it's awesome at night time when the neon lights illuminate the entire 66-ft-tall statue. There is a vast array of soda choices to choose from as well. More than I have seen anywhere. For those to other reasons, it is worth stopping to visit this Oklahoma and Route 66 iconic location.
