This place is a must-visit! The mocha was delicious, and their coffee blend is top-tier. On top of the great drinks, the boys working here were so incredibly kind and welcoming. Make sure to check out their gift shop too - they have so many beautiful, locally made items. To top it all off, parking is super easy. Truly a perfect little stop.

Perfect stop on the drive from Anchorage to Whittier. We pulled in before catching the Portage Glacier area and I'm so glad we did, the Alaska salmon chowder was incredible, and my wife's smoked salmon sandwich was the best thing we ate all trip. Great coffee too. Friendly staff, clean, easy parking, and a gift shop with actual Alaska-made stuff, not the usual junk. If you're driving the Seward Highway and need food near the Whittier tunnel, stop here. 5 stars.

My 1st cousin, once removed, Gary, owned this lodge in the 80s. I stayed there for a time in the late 80s. It is cozy and sufficient. Plenty of room inside the Cafe for groups. It is a short drive from Anchorage, with Alyeska ski resort along the way. The food was good then. From the photos here, not much has changed, structurally, but I'm glad it's still going. The glacier is awesome and worth a visit. The lodge is worth the time also.
