The Range Café Bernalillo feels like stepping into a cozy, colorful dream, with whimsical art dancing on every wall and a buzz of friendly chatter filling the air. At first I thought the name of this place might be referring to wide open ranch land or firearms ranges, only to find out they have a zillion little ranges in there, as in stoves of all shapes and sizes! 😂 It even had a slight Cracker Barrel vibe, but of course southwestern in orientation with much better food! If you can make it past their amazing baked goods section to your table, you’ll find a nice menu with breakfast and brunch offerings. I was not going to miss my chance to get something with both green and red Hatch chilies (aka “Christmas,”) so I ended up getting the steak and enchiladas, which was really awesome. Our server told us that their rice was not quite ready at 9 o’clock when we arrived, so instead we got beans, which were very tasty. The enchiladas were blue corn and had just the right mix of chilies. Spicy, but not brutal. Didn’t even feel the need to put hot sauce on them. Steak was of generous size for the price, and even without any sides, I definitely had a full and happy tummy when I left. I typically drink decaf coffee nowadays, and I’m used to it being lousy at many places, but not here. The decaf was quite good. Service was fast, efficient and friendly, so that was nice too. My only knock at all on Range Cafe was that the enchiladas were not very hot and neither were the beans. Like most, I prefer to have my hot food hot. They had a nice store in another part of the building, which had all sorts of great southwestern sauces, condiments, and some fun candies as well. Of course, the usual sort of souvenir things as well. Curiously, some of their other locations do not have the ratings of this one, so I would definitely favor this location if you are anywhere nearby Bernalillo. Definitely on my list of places to visit again.

Was weary about another café, haven't been to a good one in awhile..I gotta say that this place was delicious 😋, Definitely try the tequila lime shrimp tacos and the the range chicken,and their soup...omg!! Definitely come for another drive just to eat here, and thank you Mz Shelby for your excellent customer service and sweetness..such great staff.. 1 of my favs in Albuquerque area

We popped in on our way from Albuquerque to Santa Fe, definitely worth a stop. It was busy, but only a 30 min wait - but we opted get seated at the bar. Service was great, atmosphere was bustling, great place to people watch, drink nice coffee and have great food! I had the breakfast burrito with Soyriso, my husband had steak and eggs, it was lovely, the portions were massive!

Our first time here and it’s very good . We enjoyed our breakfast, my husband got the special huevos Ranchero and I got the I got the biscuit and gravy deluxe. Very good! Can’t wait to try something else. Didn’t get to try some pie was too full to eat lol the gift shop was awesome to see.
