Mackinac island is picturesque and post card perfect and Sadie's ice cream parlour adds to the list. We tried the Root beer float and icre cream hot cake fudge cup (massive portion) The vanilla ice cream on it was gooey and nice but the overall sprinkles, portion of ice cream to cake was a bit too much! (Can be shared between 3-5 people) Overhyped and over-rated place but good for one time visit to experience the old world ice cream parlour charm. Root beer float was refreshing for the super summery day after walking entire day on the island.

What a delightful little charming place! I absolutely loved the decor and feel of Sadie's Ice Cream Parlor. It reminded me of an ice cream shop you would see in the 50's. In my experience, the service was fast and the staff was friendly. I went about mid-day in July and there were a few customers, but it was not packed. The seating is mostly indoors. There are a few benches outdoors where you could sit if you prefer, but most of the seating is indoors. The ice cream itself was pricey, for sure, but you do get a good amount. I ordered a coffee ice cream flavor and it was delicious. It doesn't have the creamy homemade taste, but I enjoyed it and it hit the spot after a warm day of riding bikes.

It’s all about the view! The ice cream was good but not the best I’ve had. There was a limited amount of flavors to choose from. The location is connected to the Grand Hotel and offers small seating areas and views. It’s one of the quieter places to sit and enjoy a treat.

Ice cream here tasted good but was a little on the expensive side. The cost is made by the quantity though. Nice indoor seating with few seats on the outside. Staff was friendly and quick with my order.
