Really cool spot with tons of unique stuff to check out. The woodwork and shop setup had a great vibe and the staff was super friendly and welcoming. You can tell people care about this place. Wife wanted to go because she watches the show and likes the hosts. She also likes they're restoring the town. It's a cute shop, stores, and town. We saw Ben as he was leaving. We had just missed a filming they were doing. He was in his restored old blazer.

If you’re anywhere near Laurel, Mississippi, the Scotsman General Store is an absolute MUST stop. I picked up a few wax melts (Ralph – Aftershave Before Church and Sunday Boots), and I can honestly say they are the best smelling wax melts I’ve ever experienced. The scents are rich, warm, and incredibly comforting... perfectly balanced and not overpowering. What truly touched me was the story behind each scent. Reading the scent notes felt so personal and meaningful. It reminded me how powerful simple moments are... memories, family, and even the quiet peace of a Sunday morning. There was something about these scents that felt grounding… almost like a gentle reminder of God’s presence in the everyday moments... the kind that bring peace, comfort, and reflection. It’s amazing how something as simple as a fragrance can take you back, slow you down, and remind you to be still. You can truly tell these are handcrafted with care and intention. Very friendly staff. They offer unique items to purchase. MSU, Ole Miss and Southern Miss items for sale. I loved all the scents of their masculine candles and wax melts.
