  My mom and I have been shopping at Sees for years in Oregon. Now that we are here in Boise we were so excited to have a Sees candy shop near us. I am extremely disappointed with Boise Sees! Every time I have been there my experience is unacceptable. All the staff is not friendly. Every once in a while, I will see a smile on one of them, but it doesn’t last very long. I feel like their customers are in a factory and the employees rush us with an attitude. I am thinking their manager must tell them to do this because all the employees act the same way. Also, a few of the times I have bought chocolates ( a numerous amount) I asked if I could have a sample for my husband ( who is disabled and can’t go to the mall) The girl asked if he was there at the mall and I said no he’s not and she replied” I can’t give one if the person is not here” I could not believe what she said. And I was already buying chocolate. She was helping me with the other chocolates that I was buying. Not only that but my family who were out of town just bought chocolate. The girl said she couldn’t give a sample even after all the chocolates we were buying & she couldn’t give one sample because my husband wasn’t there. Also just the other day when I took my Mom in there again, my mom felt so rushed and my Mom is an older frail lady and she kept telling me she feels so rushed and I said mom don’t feel rushed. You are okay and the employee said nothing which I think she should’ve told my mom that she is fine and to take her time and she didn’t, instead she had the look and body language of rushing us which they all do every time we go there . All these experiences, I have experienced at the Boise shop really makes me miss the one in Oregon. Everyone was so friendly. They never rushed you, they treated us like customers who were real people and I’m thinking it has to do with the manager because the manager in Oregon was excellent. And I feep that employees act and react the same way the manager does. That is my opinion.

  The chocolates are SO good, they are worth the cost! The lady working was super friendly and gave us free samples between choose whay we wanted in our box. She also mentioned as we were choosing mint, that the other chocolates can take on the mint flavor, this was a helpful tip. This store has a good selection and the chocolates were fresh. You can get packaged chocolates or choose your own assortment in a bag or 2 different sizes boxes, 1 lb or half pound.

  This is an unusual rating from me since I have been an "addicted See's fan" since my grandmother took me to my first See's store in the mid-1950's in Los Angeles. Yesterday I purchased a 1-pound hand packed box at the Boise Mall store and the person filling my order said, "It will be a little over 1-pound, is that okay?" I replied yes. As you can see in the attached photo of my receipt (click on it to see the entire photo) it was 1.75-pounds, which, in my opinion, is NOT a "little over." It's nearly 2-pounds. This has happened several times at this store with my previous purchases. May I suggest you change your business practice and tell people when they're at 1-pound, ask if they want you to continue, and remember a "little over" is commonly defined at 0.2 or less. Thank you.

  The INCREDIBLY kind associates took my very specific request and were able to accommodate me on a tight timeframe!! They were so helpful!! They put together ONE HUNDRED PIECES OF CHOCOLATE in record time!! It was the highlight of the event!
