This place is a hidden gem! Walk into Shannon's Ice Cream and allow yourself to be transported back in time to when food was real and life was sweet. They offer a selection of tasty homemade gelato style ice creams along side of a nice selection of Tillamook ice creams. They make the waffle cones right there and they are warm and very tasty. They are just the right thickness to safely hold your scoops without crumbling in your hand while being crispy and easy to eat. Well behaved dogs are wecomed and they even have a gelato made just for your fur babies! They are located on 4th St away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, we sat out on the porch and felt like we were on vacation. It was quiet and peaceful. The proprietors made us feel like they were welcoming us into their home. It is a beautiful old home with original floors. The walls are adorned with fun takes on classic paintings. Everyone loves ice cream and this is the place to go.

The apple pie ice cream and lemon coconut sorbet were a huge hit with my family. We tasted the paw paw ice cream and enjoyed that one too. Cute little shop with a homey interior. 10/10 recommend!

Walked in yesterday afternoon with my 2 young daughters who were very excited about ice cream. Upon entering, the older man behind the counter didn't even look up at us. I said hi and he mumbled something but didn't look up. Then my 7 year old said hi and he still wouldn't acknowledge us. My 2 year old excitedly said "I want vanilla!" and the man just said vanilla (in a grumpy tone)? Then proceeded to wipe his mouth/nose with his wrist/sleeve. We picked our girls up and left and found ice cream elsewhere.

Such a cute place! They have a bunch of homemade flavors, and several Tillamook flavors too. I love that they have the option of gluten free waffle cones! I got their homemade Oregon hazelnut chocolate, and my husband got pistachio almond. Delicious!
