We are from the UK and are on a road trip across the USA.and we completely chanced upon Sids driving from South Lake Tahoe to Elko (NV). And what a chance and what a find. As soon as we parked up and saw all of the cars in the parking lot we knew we had found a winner location for lunch. From walking in the low buzz of conversation was great. Looking around it was immaculately clean. The atmosphere was warm, friendly and welcoming and our servers were fantastic. As for the food - we took the initial photos and then ate, and ate and ate! You cannot beat the attentiveness, offers of drink refills, is everything ok? but nothing in your face. Perfect. We new food was cooked to order so the wait time wasn't an issue for us but believe me the team on the grill move like lightning so not a long wait time at all. Enough to soak in the atmosphere. It was full of every age group and from what looked to be all walks of life - all talking, eating and generally interacting. Not one person on a "screen". The final bill was over and above exceptional value for money. If we could time travel here after we return to the UK we would it was that good!!! Thank you Team Sid!!!

We always stop here on the way through town and the food and service are always top notch. Servers are super friendly and the food is delicious. Sorry about my pix, the plates came out looking nice before we attacked!

Good classic diner food with a decent selection of large portions. The servers are attentive and food is served quickly in a vintage diner setting. Seat yourself! The nachos featured fresh house made tortilla chips but for some odd reason only canned, processed cheese sauce and no shredded cheddar, but included sour cream and some nice avocado slices. The chili was flavorful and had a nice mound of shredded cheddar and diced onions and served with a huge hunk of pineapple cornbread and whipped butter. The chili would have been better with some diced veggies (peppers/tomatoes/onions). The asparagus chicken was a wonderfully flavorful dish with just the right amount of everything. The "heavy cream sauce" was delicious and not heavy at all. It was served with a nice couple of pieces of grilled garlic bread, tasty! The meatloaf serving was gigantic. It was baked with a thin layer of tomato sauce on top and also smothered in brown gravy. It was served with what appeared to be doctored up canned green beans and instant mashed potatoes, both tasted good for what they were. The house salad was fine.

It's kind of an Old Town feel but it was pretty decent for what we got the roast beef was definitely one of the best I've had at a diner but in general the rest of it was really pretty decent atmosphere was a little bit old school and it's not very home filling but overall pretty decent place. The issue that I had was the veggies were canned not fresh.
