The Story
The sweet scent of vanilla and warm sugar drifted from the open door, beckoning folks in from the Reno sunshine. Inside, the checkered floors and cozy booths felt like a step back to simpler, happier times. Each scoop of ice cream and freshly baked pastry tasted like a little piece of homemade heaven.

#SweetTooth Sierra Nevada Bakery And Creamery is a husband and wife run Ice Cream shopp that opened in the first half of 2025. They churn out some very good Ice Cream along with some other sweet treats such as Cookie and Brownies. It's a decent size venue for an Ice Cream shop, the inside feels bigger than the storefront looks from the outside. The interior decor has a minimalist approach, simple and functional. They have a healthy variety of Ice Cream and Sorbets as well. The Sorbet is separated from regular Ice Cream, it's kept on its own section. We interacted with Steph; who was very warm and welcoming. She let us try samples and told us about the other baked goods. We ended up getting a few scoops of Ice Cream each and some cookies and brownies as well.

We visited Sierra Nevada Bakery and Creamery as a final stop on our food tour, and the best was definitely saved for last. The owner was kind and welcoming even before announcing who we were, and offered insights on how the ice cream is made in-house each day. I choose the pecans and pralines, pictured, and it was absolutely delicious. We'll need to return to sample some of the baked goods, because they looked tasty. The store was clean with plenty of seating, and they have a bathroom available if you manage to make a mess of yourself. :)

Sample!!! All the flavors are so good that I like flavors that I don’t normally like. Low enough sugar to not be offensive to anyone including the strictest of “it’s too sweet” types. May I recommend the praline pecan! Michael is an amazing person we had a fantastic chat.

The owner is incredibly kind and genuinely passionate about his craft. He even gave us an early sampler of his next week’s ice cream of the week. The ice cream and cookie were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend stopping by—I’ll definitely be returning!
