  First time visiting South Side Soda Shop. Was visiting family in Goshen. Decided to give it a try for dinner and dessert. We arrived around 5:30 on a Friday. It was busy, but we were seated immediately at an open table. Our server arrived and brought us drinks while we looked over the menu. We ordered up and we didn't have to wait long for our food. I had the Philly Turkey sandwich and a cup of chili. I must say, the chili was rock solid, in my opinion. Not unusually great, but a flavorful, solid chili. When the sandwich arrived, it looked good and tasted better. I really enjoyed it. The hoagie roll was nice and soft. For dessert, I had the lemon meringue pie. Man, it tasted as good as my grandmother used to make. 👍. Some really good food in a retro style diner. And their soda shop menu of desserts is pretty impressive too.

  This place is SO CUTE! It's an authentic old fashioned diner, the kind that looks like a metal train. My daughter and son in law took me here and we absolutely loved it! I got the #8, which is a marinated chicken sandwich. It was delicious. We also got a basket of twirly fries. It was huge! The staff was extremely friendly and fun! We will be back.

  Well, it's a nice little step back in time. Great friendly employees. Good atmosphere. But, the food quality, honestly not what we thought it would be with all the hype of the place. The food was good. But nothing to go out of your way for. Pricing was high for it is. Now parking is also a issue if you're not there earlier then the rest of the crowd. There is parking on both side streets. And at the school during certain hours.
