You've got to shop Speach Family Candy Shoppe if you're visiting or live in Syracuse. It's a landmark candy store. Who knew? I must have driven by this store hundreds of times thinking it was just a bulk candy store. Hello!!! "Speaches" is a chocolatier. How cool is that? And I love dark chocolate. What made this trip special were the helpful staff and the buckets of chocolate covered potato chips that I bought for party favors. Of course, they make these on site. And it worked out great. I put some chips in mini brown glassine bags and sealed them with a sticker. They looked like m

WOW!!!What an experience. This family owned maker of sweet treats since 1920 is a MUST STOP for anyone looking for old and new tasty confections. They make many of their own freeze dried candy, and chocolate covered EVERYTHING! They also have old time "penny candy" and some real favorites. A great small and necessary business of the soul!

Speach Family Candy has been a favorite place of mine for over 25 years. The exquisite taste of their chocolates, the amazing quality of their products, and the friendliness of the staff will ALWAYS have me coming back for more. Their newest release, the Pick & Pour, is no exception. Being able to customize my own product (including the name!) using their high quality and mouthwatering ingredients, is absolutely top notch.
