The Story
St. Francis Fountain has run in the Mission since 1918 — original candy cases, a long fountain counter, and a breakfast crowd that treats it as the neighborhood's living room.

Since 1918, this corner in the mission is a historic place to eat. A true blast from the past when I walked in. I admired the flooring, candy section, and milk shake machines. The host was super and chill, and it was not too busy for a weekday. I could tell this place gets busy on weekends. I ordered the corned beef hash n eggs and it was delightful. A real hearty meal! I would come back here for a milkshake. Truly a gem in San Francisco.

Excellent food! Well priced, large portions. Delicious vegan options, like a homemade seitan burger.
