the ice cream was so good i forgot to take a picture before we ate it me my friend and my boyfriend have been DYING to try this place out and we finally did! we decided to share one big sundae, we got 3 scoops of banana pudding ice cream, marshmallows and sprinkles as the topping, and reese’s pieces on the side once we received our order we notice it was only 2 scoops and the reese pieces were not on the side, so i was disappointed about that. i doubled check with my group if i truly said “3 scoops and reese pieces on the side” which then they confirmed i didn’t bother going back up because it was pretty packed besides some misunderstandings, no store brought ice cream will compare to this banana pudding. it genuinely taste like banana pudding, and we all fell in love with it. I could go for seconds honestly the price was $7.15, was it worth it? hell yeah. my taste buds never tasted anything that good. im so happy i got to try this place the staff was very kind and understanding, it was our first time here and i think it was very obvious 😅 the atmosphere makes me feel like this is what a ice cream shop would look like back in the 1990s or something similar to that, im in love with it. i wish i took more photos inside but again, VERY packed. we’re 100% coming back!

We stopped into Sweet Ride Ice Cream in Reading as the final stop on a date night, and honestly… it was the perfect way to end the evening. The vibe immediately pulls you in, classic 1950s ice cream parlor energy with a fun, nostalgic feel. One of the employees was even dressed in a white shirt and black bow tie, which totally fit the theme and added to the experience. They have a huge variety of flavors and options, so there’s something for everyone. We came specifically for their Valentine’s Day ice cream flight, and it did not disappoint. The flight included: • Cupid’s Milk & Cookies • Raspberry Cheesecake • Red Velvet • Chocolate Covered Strawberry Every flavor was excellent, but raspberry cheesecake was the standout favorite rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. We also grabbed a kiddie size of white chocolate cranberry cheesecake, which was absolutely delicious and worth ordering on its own. Because it was freezing out (a rare win), we took advantage of that and grabbed two kiddie sizes to go for my mom, knowing they wouldn’t melt on the way home. They also had ice cream pies stocked in the freezer, plus homemade waffle cones and waffle bowls, which smelled incredible. The only downside and this has nothing to do with Sweet Ride themselves was parking. With all the snow piled everywhere, we missed a sign indicating a bus stop zone right in front of the shop and ended up with a $50 parking ticket from the borough. Lesson learned: parking in the area can be tricky, so just be extra mindful of signage, especially in winter. That aside, this was a five-star experience across the board. Fantastic ice cream, fun atmosphere, and a great overall experience. We’ll absolutely be back just with better parking awareness next time. Highly recommend if you’re anywhere near Reading 🍨✨

I live a stone's throw away in Wyomissing and finally stopped in with a party of 3. First we were going to sit outside but with an elderly parent we elected to go inside. I never expected it to be so cavernous inside. While very busy, the ordering process was quick and efficient. The ice cream is made on the premises and the banana splits were like the olden days of Penn Supreme; a favorite back in the 60's; delightful and big. You might want to take a jacket if you mind the cold as it was a bit chilly and it's a bit too dark inside. Other than that, nice place, great order process and a good split.

It’s cute and cozy and gives very 1950s-1960s ice cream shop vibes. The employees are friendly, sweet, and accommodating. They offer a variety of flavors and toppings. The price is reasonable. They have board games in the back also. There is plenty of indoor seating and a few seats outside.
