I have never really cared for ice cream cake in my life. It is my husband's favorite kind of cake, having grown up in Florida, so after an unsuccessful search for a good Carvel cake, we came across this place. My life changed. I went from "I can take it or leave it" to actively craving this ice cream cake. I won't burden my taste buds with any other kind. The ice cream is smooth and creamy. We've tried several ice cream flavors and have enjoyed them but our favorite has to be that dutch chocolate. The cake is perfectly dense yet airy. Of course I love to celebrate my husband on his birthday, but secretly I look forward to this time of year because it means we get to buy another ice cream cake. If I let myself buy one outside of his birthday, I would be in every weekend and I don't think my BMI can take the hit. My husband (and his mom)'s birthday are on the 4th of July so I would request a 4th of July/American flag/red white and blue theme, and the staff always nailed the decor. The year I ordered a different cake I didn't request decoration of course but it was still delicious. We have been coming back for four years now and look forward to carrying on the tradition.

Customer service was excellent this place is a cozy place with indoor and outdoor seating. They do private parties and are special for the holiday. You can book a day to come in and have a waffle breakfast with the family such as on Father's day, or mother's Day. Spacious place with decent reasonable prices. Everything is delicious! Forest Park is kid friendly and VERY LGBTQ friendly. Make it a day to explore and adventure to surrounding neighborhoods like Oak Park where there's so much more to see and do!

If you’re looking for rich, creamy, and delicious ice cream, this is the place to be. I’ve tried many ice cream shops around Chicago, and this one is by far the best. They offer plenty of flavors to choose from, and every scoop is a treat. Truly love this spot!

My husband and I went last nite for a cone after dinner. He always gets the premade nut sprinkle cone. I always get a dairy free option. I usually get keylime, but last nite I tried the carmel macchiato. Carton was empty, always a good sign. Best ice cream I have ever had. So creamy and absolutely delicious. PLEASE DO NOT take off the menu. My husband also loved it and he doesn’t like coffee. There wasn’t much coffee flavor. It was decadent. BROWN COW, thank you for the new flavor.
