  We’ve been coming to this candy shop since I was a kid, which makes this even more disappointing to write. My son has difficulty pronouncing certain words because he spent a large part of his life deaf and is still working through speech. Tonight he asked for one of the large suckers by the counter, but when he tried to say “sucker,” it came out as “uucker,” which is something we continue to work on with him. Instead of simply ringing up the candy, the woman working decided to comment that he “should be able to say sucker.” That comment was unnecessary and incredibly unprofessional. What makes this even harder is that coming here is actually a very special treat for him. Every other month, after working hard in therapy and doing well, we celebrate with a movie night and a stop at this candy shop. It’s something he genuinely looks forward to and one of his favorite things to do. You never know what a child has gone through or what challenges they are overcoming. My son has worked incredibly hard to get where he is, and no child should be corrected or singled out by a stranger behind a counter. Because of this experience, I will no longer be bringing my family here. It’s upsetting to lose a place that used to be such a positive reward for him. She’s lucky he’s still young and didn’t fully understand what was being said, because if he had, the situation would have been very different. I will most definitely be calling up there tomorrow to demand to talk to the store owner.

  Love this place! They had all the flavors of Jelly Bean I like and I was able to only pick the flavors I want and keep that nasty Coconut out of my bag. I bought 3 pounds of Jelly Beans but it wasn't enough. I wish I bought 30 pounds. Staff is friendly and will answer any questions you may have.

  Really enjoy this store. Plenty of options including a few retro candies. Staff is very welcoming. Prices are reasonable. I really like the assortment of nuts. Great place to stop before going to the movies on a weekend afternoon if you know what I mean.

  Been coming here since I was a little boy. My mom would take me and my brother here and it was always somewhere I looked forward to going. Now my wife and I take our son here. Im so glad to be able to pass this wonderful place off to the next generation
