The Story
The sweet scent of waffle cones drifted down Water Street, drawing folks in like a homing beacon to The Local Scoop. Inside, checkerboard floors and vintage signs made you feel like a kid again, ready for a towering sundae piled high with all the fixings. Each spoonful was pure delight, a taste of simple joys in a town that knows how to cherish them.

Decided to try this place again as I know they’re under new ownership now. The prices are outrageous for what you get, and they definitely skimped on toppings. I suppose I could see the prices working out if it was homemade ice cream, but it’s literally just Giffords, which you can buy anywhere. Staff was fine for the most part, although the guy taking orders could have been happier. It also took quite a while for me to get my order which was 1 scoop and 1 topping with only 2 people ahead of me.

Wonderful ice cream shop. Visiting family in town thisbweek and webmade several trips down with a large group. From the moment a young lady stepped up to take our order until the treat was handed to us with a wonderful smile, this group of employees is off the charts. Oh, and the ice cream treats were A-MA-ZING!!!
