  If you’ve never had The Malt Shop you have to give it a try! Their service is always great, everything is made fresh so if you want a wuick bite to go call 15 minutes ahead. I love their chicken basket for a quick treat to split with my grandma and can eat the pineapple burger for lunch and dinner its so big and juicy, and saving the best for last, i’m obsessed with the peanut butter milkshake, my dad prefers the malt version. Hope The Malt Shop never leaves, uts one of my staples.

  One of the best burgers in town. First time in, I ordered the burger the way it comes and it was really good. Second time around I ordered the burger with a few modifications and it was fantastic. Really enjoyed the diner look too.

  Great little burger spot with easy access to the freeway. The burgers and grilled chicken sandwich were generous and very tasty, and so were the fries. And they had milkshakes… yum. We loved the decor, the workers were helpful, and the restaurant was clean and bright. We’ll be back the next time we come through Bakersfield!

  Definitely a bit pricier than I remembered! Paid about $18 for a burger, onion rings, and a drink. Service was quick, and the food was made to order. Onion rings lacked seasoning but crispy and fresh. Burger was just okay, not the best or the worst. Both ladies inside were friendly and gave great customer service.
