I honestly think this place is a bit overrated. Yes, the views are nice, and they’re definitely generous with their portions, but the ice cream itself was just okay. The cotton candy flavor tasted like plain vanilla with a lot of food coloring, and the caramel pecan was slightly better but still nothing particularly memorable. It’s not bad, but based on the hype, I was expecting more.

There is hope America! I’ve traveled far and wide in search of an ice cream stand that doesn’t shrink the size of its scoops at the same exponential rate that it increases its prices, and finally I’ve made it to Trails End. Three scoops feels like some eating challenge out of a John Candy movie. Definitely worth the drive

Ice Cream was delicious. Inconsistent sizes. My husband and I both ordered a 2 scoop ice cream and my 2 scoop was significantly smaller than his. I was VERY disappointed!

We each asked for 2 scoops of ice cream. We didn’t realize we would get this monstrosity for only $7. Delicious! But ask for the single or kiddie scoop.
