The Story

While the ambiance might be subtle, the kitchen delivers surprisingly good burgers and hot dogs, especially their bacon cheddar burger. Don't miss the freshly home-cut fries for a satisfying, old-fashioned lunch experience.

Stopped in for lunch. The staff is very nice, the store has enough for your needs. Cool hats and t-shirts. The food though, stop in for a bite. Cheeseburger combo was $9.75. I can't remember what the hot dog combo cost. The fries are home cut and are great, the burger and hot dogs are really good. Made to order. The chili and coleslaw seem house made as well. Great place.

We were really disappointed with our visit to Trivillian’s Pharmacy Soda Fountain. From the start, the ambience was flat and unwelcoming. The first woman who greeted us barely spoke above a whisper when asking if we needed a menu, then handed us a flimsy trifold piece of paper with zero explanation. The whole interaction felt cold and awkward, not at all inviting. I ordered the BLT, which arrived cut lengthwise instead of diagonally—an immediate red flag for anyone who respects sandwiches. The bacon was thin, small, and overly crisp, more like a salad topping than something meant for a BLT.

They have food, but it's nothing special. My order was wrong & the fries were tiny. I would have informed my waitress of the order mixup, but she never came back to the table after delivering our food. (We were 1 of 3 tables.) Tipping her felt like an insult, but I did anyway bc I'm a decent human. Staff didn't make us feel welcome upon entering or thank us when paying. If you're choosing this "diner" for its ambiance, you'll be disappointed. I would have loved to try a milkshake, but the odds of being letdown by it were high. Unless you're picking up a Rx here, there's no reason to stop in.

Went to Trivillian's Pharmacy and Soda Fountain for lunch today. I got their bacon cheddar burger, and my uncle got their hotdogs. We both got the fries. Everything was perfect! That’s surprisingly one of the best burgers I’ve had in Charleston. Same with the fries. And I dig the interior. It’s got a 1940’s-50’s vibe to it. I’ve only eaten here once in my life, which was so long ago that I barely remember it. So it was almost like going for the first time all over again. I went back the next day and got their egg salad sandwich,’which was great as well. I’ll definitely be back… often lol.
