The Venetian Soda Lounge
Burlington • ★ 4.6 (92 Google reviews)
The Story
Inside the Soda Plant on Pine Street, the Venetian Soda Lounge pours the resurrected Venetian Ginger Ale — a Vermont brand from 1911 — alongside Italian-style sodas built at a proper bar. Fizz without the alcohol, taken seriously.

A very cool find! My husband found this place during our stay in Burlington and we stopped in after dinner the first night. Unfortunately there was no live music the night we went but the vibe was super cool with retro decor. They also had a very unique drink menu - both cocktails and mocktails! The spiced pineapple soda was delicious as well as the green lime mule. I have included a video of my husband’s old fashioned which was pretty impressive.

A wonderful place to hear and enjoy live music. Cozy, charming and funky decor, great sound system. Be patient on food service; the hotdogs are great but take time. The only drawback is not the fault of the Lounge, it's the people who come to live music and spend the whole time talking over the music. Stay home or come and respect the musicians, folks. (The question below about whether the noise level is 'loud but you can still talk' indicates the problem - people expect to be able to talk?)

What a cool little place. It has an intimate speakeasy vibe and interesting decor everywhere. The drinks are super tasty and my server gave me some great recommendations based on my preferences. Definitely stop by and check it out. I think they also do live music, trivia, and stuff like that.
