The Story
A must-stop on drives between San Diego and El Centro, this cottage is known for its handmade chocolates and variety of candies. Many families have made it a generational tradition to visit. While some find selections pricey or the brittle stale, the experience of finding unique sweet treats remains a draw.

My friend Michael recommended this place long ago. I stopped in today and was not disappointed. This is only a few minutes off the highway and was happy to find many handmade chocolates and wonderful candies. I hope to stop by every time I drive through now.

This is a really cute stop when traveling to or from San Diego. Delicious treats for all! We were lucky to stop on their 105th anniversary!!!

Not very much to choose from the chocolate isn’t that good and very expensive ask how much an ounce is before you buy i! .Bought a $14 pack of peanut brittle and got to El Centro and opened it and It was stale.I threw it in the trash. I’m very disappointed. Back in the 70s 80s and 90s Candy cottage was alive. They made their taffy homemade on a machine and loads of candy everywhere gumballs jellybeans, jawbreakers, gummy’s, etc.lots and lots of pretty colorful candy.

Wisteria Candy Cottage is always a “must stop” between San Diego and El Centro. I’m 3rd generation in my family coming here and my son will soon be bringing my new granddaughter. Last weekend my wife and I were running a little late and called Dana to ask if she would wait a few minutes after closing for us to arrive. She waited and we were so grateful. Thanks Dana, and God bless you for keeping the landmark Candy Cottage open all these years.
