  Went right as they opened on Thursday to see one of the oldest chocolatiers to do it! Very happy with the M&M chocolate truffle along with the kahlua fudge & Maine gummy candy! Also very happy with them carrying The Crispery’s rice krispy treats! I went with the gingersnap one and it was very tasty! Great little stop here for some sweet treats!

  America's Oldest Candy Company did not disappoint. Ye Old Pepper Companie, who's been operating since 1806, brings an excellent variety of sweets that will cater to everyone's taste. They have some that are already pre-packaged, but I recommend getting the candy by the pound and creating a unique combination choosing from the dozens of flavors. Make sure to try their 'turtles', too! Last but not least, service was very attentive and fast.

  Absolutely amazing! I highly recommend stopping by for a look around. It's a super small yet hugely historic candy shop. The fudge is really good but if you want a real treat try the chocolate dipped cherries, they are behind the counter and sold individually so no excuse not to get a couple. I promise you won't regret it! Pro tip: When exiting the shop walk directly across Derby st and to the end of the block, there is a secluded water view point with a couple benches.

  Visited on 12/30/2025 while in Salem, MA all the way from Florida. This shop is amazing, sooooo many options from chocolates to hard candies and everywhere in between. The orange cream truffles are THE BEST! Make sure to grab some gibralters while here! The goal during our trip was to shop local small businesses and this one was in our top 3!
